Iran Air subsidiary HOMA Hotel Group has maintained a very high standard and is hoping to keep up the same standard in the new hotels to be built in the future. The latest hotel opened in Mashad with initial capital and expenses of more than 40 million dollars. The hotel is designed on the basis of Iranian architecture and all facilities and decorative materials were procured from Iranian sources; therefore, the new hotel has a touch of Persian style. Almost every hotel in the group has been renovated and redecorated. This will of course help the image of Iran Air hotels and upholds the standard. However, the financial burden and the hotels renovation costs were so high that the group did not enjoy the usual year - end high profit last year.
